Show Me PACE Clean Energy District
Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) is an innovative way for property owners to pay for energy efficiency, water conservation and renewable energy projects. Show Me PACE provides economic development through open-market financing for these projects. The Missouri Energy Initiative administers Show Me PACE in Missouri.
To quality as a PACE project, the annual energy savings must exceed the annual assessment to repay the money borrowed. This results in increased cash flow for the property owner and a higher value of the building. PACE financing through Show Me PACE is currently available for commercial, industrial, agricultural, non-profit and government facilities. Visit the Show Me PACE website for more information.
Eligible projects include:
- New heating and cooling systems
- Energy efficient lighting
- Solar panels
- Improved water pumps
- High-efficiency irrigation
Loans through PACE provide 100% upfront financing for eligible improvements, with no out-of-pocket cost to property owners. PACE pays for 100% of a project’s cost (up to 30% of a building’s value for a retrofit and 15% for new construction). The money is repaid for up to 20 years, at a fixed rate, through an annual assessment.
An open-market program, Show Me PACE is working with the following approved lenders who can provide on-demand cash for PACE projects.
